My teaching philosophy is to give my students the tools to become better overall musicians, whatever their age or stage. I bring a lifetime of knowledge and passion for music to my studio. I have been teaching for over 30 years and I still love problem-solving and watching musicians improve each week. The lessons focus on building technique while having fun making music. Sound is very important to me, so I focus on getting a clear, centered sound out of my students with an emphasis on flow, articulation and flexibility. As well as playing along with the students during the lessons, I use a variety of technological tools to help students connect with the beat, and to improve their tuning.
